Project Funded By:

The incursion of the Gaza Strip

Targeting the main bridge connecting Northern and Southern Gaza Strip in addition to the electrical power generating plant and El Mughraqa water carrier have the following direct effects:

  •       Gaza Strip water wells are not operating and around 900,000 person will have no access on drinking water within the next 24 hours.
  •      The sewage pump stations and water and wastewater treatment plants will not be able to receive and / or treat around 70,000 m3 which will lead to a humanitarian and environmental disaster within the next 24 hours unless they are operating properly again.
  •     El Mughraqa water carrier supplying water for around 155,000 person ( Nuseirat, Buraij, Maghazy, Zawaida and El Mughraqa) was damaged.

Interventions are needed to avoid targeting the water and wastewater infrastructure as well as electricity infrastructure and allow for continuous support of fuel.
