Cutting off supply of water to Deir al Hatab community / Nablus Governorate by the nearby Israeli settlers

Tuesday, April 24th 2007

Settlers in this settlement are continuously cutting off supply of water to Deir al Hatab community. A few days ago, settlers in this community confiscated and controlled a land in the community which is very close to the main local spring that supplies more than two thirds of the community with domestic water and constructed a swimming pool very close to this spring and shifted flow of the spring's water towards the pool. The head of the local council confirmed that it is not the first time that the settlers have done so, and in the previous time they also and in several occasions damaged the community water network connected to this spring. Each time the water network was rehabilitated and then was damaged again by he same settlers.
